DUNLOP HIMALAYAGLENN OAKS COOPER (PS)

SIRE: YARRAWONGA OBERG (P) 242922
DAM: YARRAWONGA NELLY (P) 225421
DOB: 18.04.07

Purchased privately for $25,000 after he won his class at Brisbane Ekka in 2008.

We had been observing these bloodline for a few years and noticed the consistency coming through.  Cooper (PS) has a great loose skin and slick coat type and a strong Santa character head.  He also has a large scrotal and tidy sheath.

Cooper has a great placid disposition and has already produced some top calves.  His first offering will help make up our 2011 sale team although some have already been sold through some yearling bull purchases late in 2010.  Cooper has also produced some top shelf daughters who are now joined.  His progeny are dark coated with plenty of bone and flesh with a good constitution and his son's have large scrotal.

Semen Packages are available in Glenn Oaks Cooper (PS)

DUNLOP HIMALAYADUNLOP HIMALAYA

SIRE: DANGARFIELD FLANNIGAN 198637
DAM: DUNLOP SW680 AP4.236601
DOB: 01.09.05

Purchased in 2007 at Santa Central for $15,000, this is a very appropriate name for this sire – he is a mountain of beef!

One of those sires that makes you pull up to admire him when traveling around Dangarfield. Big, thick and loaded with character, this is Himalaya’s first offering. One son, Summit (P) has been retained. This is a line of progeny with plenty of scale.

DUNLOP HILLBILLYDUNLOP HILLBILLY

SIRE: YARRAWONGA JIMBO 197242
DAM: DUNLOP 374 AP4.230623
DOB: DOB: 20.12.05

Also purchased at Santa Central in 2007.

Not the tallest sire, but almost at thick as he is tall. Lighter in colour, a tropical sire with large scrotal and an impressive top line.

His first crop of daughters preg tested up well this year.

GLENVIEW BARCLAY

GLENVIEW BARCLAY

SIRE: YARRAWONGA OUTRANK (PS) 236373
DAM: GLENVIEW V44 222280
DOB: 21.10.05

Purchased at the Santa Central sale in 2007.

A total out-cross of bloodlines to what we already owned, we took a liking to Barclay for his high tropical content. Slick coated, loose skin couple with a good constitution and a placid disposition.

GLENVIEW BRIGHTON

GLENVIEW BRIGHTON

SIRE: YARRAWONGA OBERG (P) 242922
DAM: GLENVIEW 404 (P) AP2.224716
DOB: 22.09.05

Also purchased at Santa Central in 2007 for his sheer scale and good nature.

The tallest sire in our sire battery. His coat is that slick that he gleams like a polished sports car. Brighton will be a useful sire in future matings to lift some smaller framed females.

We have retained a son, Dangarfied Serengeti, this year.

WARRILLEE VERNONWARRILLEE VERNON

SIRE: WARRILEE 389 190311
DAM: WARRILLEE 543 221472
DOB: 12.08.01

A quiet achiever in our herd. Purchased at the Big S Sale in 2004 for a second top of $14,000, Vernon was selected for his breed character and perfect sheath and navel. These traits have a strong influence in his progeny, they are trim, tidy and have loads of character.

Vernon has been our resident sire for joining to maiden heifers. He returns strong preg test results and his daughters are now doing the same. They are producing some big weaners for us and are versatile breeders, leaving it open to join them to a range of sires. They are an impressive group and regularly catch people’s attention upon inspection when going around Dangarfield. One of his daughters, Dangarfield Reba was shown successfully last year, winning Junior Champion Female at Bell, then Junior and Grand Champion at Wandoan, Reserve Senior Champion at the Nanango Feature Show, and second in her class at Beef 2009.

His sons have sold well with 26 averaging $4,950 with a top of $11,000 for a commercial bull.

Semen packages are available for Warrillee Vernon
